As many of you know - one of my PASSIONS is socially conscious purchasing. These outfits highlight two of my favorite brands:
Ankura Brand: These are SUCH comfortable dresses guys. The fabric is unreal. Everything is made by Peruvian artisans. This brand is known for paying fair wages and giving back to the community in any way they can.
Starfish Project: So fun story - I (Ilsa) actually know these ladies and have worked with them personally. When I lived in Beijing I would hang out once a week with the ladies coming out of human trafficking situations. We would visit brothels and make friends with some of the most wonderful and interesting women from all ages. Of course, these women came from some really tough backgrounds - but what a joy to so easily find friendship and common ground. This is one of the things I miss most about living in China.
